6.PCN Radiographic Film Interpretation – Level II

Welding processes and weld defects; properties of X- and gamma-rays; densitometry; film selection; film processing and spurious indications; factors controlling contrast and definition; X- and gamma-ray equipment; ionizing radiation hazards; regulations; use of screens and filters; selection of angle of aspect; image quality indicators; defect depth location; castings; reporting.

All relevant equipment and training materials, stationaries, calculator, protective Gloves, goggles will be provided by us.

RI Level II – 6 days Training & 1 day for exam Once the 56 hours training have been obtained, the examination passed, and 6 months supervised work experience obtained before examination or within 24 months of passing the exam, PCN will issue certification.

Exam will be comprised of General theory, Specific Theory & Practical Candidate required to have 6 months supervised experience in Radiographic Film Interpretation Testing or within 24 months after passing the exam to obtain PCN certification

PSL 30 - Log of Experience form
PSL 44 – Vision Requirements form
CP27 - CODE OF ETHICS
PCN Wallet card or Driving License or Passport (Shall be in original)
